This beautiful 16th century residence has an original façade and elegant, finely sculpted mullioned windows. The Hôtel de Porcelet was the residence of one of the most famous families in Arles, which still has a street named after it. On the ground floor, the interior décor still includes a vaulted room decorated with 17th century paintings of the Four Seasons and the Allegories of the Four Cardinal virtues. One first floor room still has a French-style ceiling decorated with floral motifs in shimmering colours.

Current Hôtel de Ville. The town's most beautiful Renaissance mansion was built in 1571 by the rich Protestant family of Claude de Manville. The irregular façade, which follows the course of the main road, contains mainly mullioned windows. The inner courtyard, flanked by a portico, repeats the same pattern as the Renaissance windows. The monumental first floor fireplace has an interlacing mantelpiece (1571) surmounting a frieze decorated with triglyphs resting on Doric columns. The Town restored the building at the end of the 1960s.

The former private mansion of the Gras de Preigne family has housed the Court House since 1858. Constructed in the Renaissance style in the early 17th century, it was redeveloped slightly later 'in the French style' or 'in the Parisian style', with U-shaped main buildings built around a main courtyard (Place du Bâtonnier Louis Gonthier). Behind this, the current entrance to the Court House overlooking the Place du Docteur Braye has a 1620s Mannerist-style façade.

This civilian building was partially built in the 15th century, sold to the Ursulines and then redeveloped in the early 17th century; it was encompassed into the convent extension and then used as a residence by the Abbess. Only the façade on Rue du 4 septembre still has Renaissance features, such as pilasters and capitals (1619).

Date: 17th century Era: Classical period Type: Domestic architecture Status: Private property listed as a regional Historic Monument in 1925. The Hôtel de la Lauzière testifies to the social climbing of large Arles families in the Classical Age and the architectural mark they left on the town. The building's façade, originally built in the central district of town in the early 17th century and restored in the 18th century, fortunately still has one of the most beautiful portals in Arles.

(formerly Hôtel du Roure) This mansion, built in the same style as the Parisian mansions of the time, has façades on which it is still possible to see all the particularly sophisticated original decoration, as well as most of its interior layout. From the street, visitors can admire the porch bearing the coat of arms of the Le Roure family, the three wings surrounding the courtyard, the décor of supporting wall ties on the ground floor and the elegance of the large windows. This mansion could in fact be called Clémens, as it is to François de Clémens that it owes its rich 17th century architecture. The mansion is attractive, comprising a 15th century building renovated in the 17th century; it is one of the most beautiful mansions in the region of the château, combining the ideal Classicism of the Renaissance, a range of details, layout, structures and refined décor. It has four inner courtyards.
