The old Romanesque chapel of Saint Blaise, erected by the weavers' and carders' association in honour of their patron saint, dates back to the 12th century. It became the seat of their Brotherhood in the 18th century. This small chapel now screens a film called 'Provence seen from the Sky', which allows visitors to discover the wonderful places that make Provence unique. To the sounds of Mozart's piano concerto no 21, this new 15-minute film transports you to the most beautiful monuments and landscapes in Provence.

This district dates back to the Middle Ages and was for a long time the favourite district of mariners; the La Roquette district remains one of the most attractive in town. Its original urban herringbone layout features attractive narrow and sometimes raised houses between the Quai du Rhône and the Boulevard Clemenceau. The façades with their many architectural decorations and the niches which adorn the street corners, attract the eyes and encourage visitors to take their time.
