This is a very attractive Oratory in the centre of Les Paluds de Noves. The Oratory was dedicated as a votive offering to Saint Roch, patron saint of plague victims; a traditional festival held on the first Sunday of September is dedicated to this saint. On this occasion, a 'carreto ramado' ('rowed chariot' in Provençal) parades through the hamlet of Les Paluds de Noves.

This was the village hospital in the 17th century. The building then had several functions, including as a hall for community council meetings and a girls' school. The Chapel belonged to the Nuns of Saint-Joseph-des-Vans (from 1849), who devoted themselves to educating the young children of Maillane. This building, a gift from the Hermitte d’Armelin family, is currently home to Le Roudelet: the club of the 3rd age and the Maison des Associations.

It was ruined by the Religious Wars and rebuilt in 1638. It was paid for by the faithful, thanks to the resolve of Archbishop Aubert de Barrault and donations from Don Antoine de Rampelle. Jeanne de Quiqueran, Lady of Les Baux, was the wife of Honoré des Martins, governor of Les Baux de Provence and successor of Montmorency. Together with her sister, she built Quiqueran hospital between 1542 and 1583 in the upper part of town, near the old Saint Blaise Chapel. The hospital cared for ordinary patients, while Saint-André hospital, in the Valley, was transformed into a leprosarium. It was later renamed 'Hôtel Dieu et Charité des Baux' and remained open until 1787. It is a beautiful building with a remarkable colonnade on the first floor.
