Nestled between the Alpilles and the Luberon is a collection just waiting to be discovered. A round-up of a century of automotive history through the different eras of this fabulous epic story... sporting and popular models of all ages share this space with bicycles, motorcycles, posters from the time and other unusual items. Artifice is not necessary in the Provence Automobile Museum, as passion alone drives this sanctuary of mechanics. The museum also has a range of spare parts and exhibition sales vehicles. Open Monday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In 2006, SEMPA created the concept of GACO - Open Air Gallery, so that the inhabitants of Griffeuille could get involved and help to develop and take charge of their district through travelling creative workshops and artists' residences which result in in situ events and exhibitions. The different elements of the buildings' façades become galleries and the walls take on a new meaning, in a magical re-enchantment of the stones in Griffeuille!

Founded under the influence of the work of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, the Hôpital de la Charité (now called the Employment Exchange) was an addition to the extensive hospital and charity facilities of 17th century Arles. Begun by the Archbishop and dependent on the generosity of sponsors, the site took 20 years to complete. The establishment was intended to take in beggars, care for them, feed them and teach them a trade. It was primarily a place of confinement to prevent vagrancy and operated in these buildings until the Revolution.

Officially founded in 1885, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence municipal library was not given specific premises and employees until a century later, at the end of the 1980s. In 1990, it was installed in the former Maison Blain - the home of a dynasty of seed-merchants, an extremely important trade in the commune's economic history - and to mark the occasion it was given the name of the Provençal writer Joseph Roumanille (1818-1891). With approximately 40,000 documents, Joseph-Roumanille municipal library has two complementary functions. Promoting public reading

In her studio-gallery in Les Baux de Provence, the artist Marie-Hélène Sola presents 'Fragmentism', the pictorial movement she founded in the early 1990s. A descendent of Cubism, a synthesis of two worlds - abstract and figurative - a dialogue emerging from the use of form and colour, 'Fragmentism' gathers up movement in space that goes beyond the dimensions of the canvas. Sola has chosen to transfer the visitor's attention in order to provide an understanding of an entire composition and its characteristics.

Until the early 14th century, the synagogue of the local Jewish community stood on this site. Pope John XXII had the synagogue destroyed after driving out the Jewish community and in its place he had a chapel built and dedicated to Notre-Dame-d’Enville; this was distinct from Saint Bauldile Church, which was then 'extra muros'. It was inaugurated in 1320 and the marriage contract between Hugues de Sade and Laura de Noves was signed there on 16 January 1325.

(formerly Hôtel du Roure) This mansion, built in the same style as the Parisian mansions of the time, has façades on which it is still possible to see all the particularly sophisticated original decoration, as well as most of its interior layout. From the street, visitors can admire the porch bearing the coat of arms of the Le Roure family, the three wings surrounding the courtyard, the décor of supporting wall ties on the ground floor and the elegance of the large windows. This is a very attractive wash house made of Fontvieille stone. The fresh water came from the 'Vieille Font' fountain nearby. At the time, the inhabitants used it to wash their clothes during the 'bugado' ('washing' in Provençal). It is fairly large, as the village's population was growing steadily over time, and the wash house had to meet everyone's needs. It is a timeless place; it is in the country and thus has a calm atmosphere.
