The Souléiado Museum was created in a private mansion which housed an Indian printing site from 1806. This society museum combines the history of our Provence with the traditional production of cotton fabrics. There are printed textiles with colourful motifs known as 'Indian textiles', which are now Provençal fabrics. In this museum, you will discover rare examples of Provençal costumes, wonderful stitching and charming reconstructions of former scenes from everyday life in Provence.

This ancient celto-Ligurian oppidum was a religious center well before the Christian era, as evidenced by the numerous remains of cults such as the Gallo-Roman altars exposed today in the lapidary Museum of Avignon. They honoured the Greco-Roman deities. In 1878 the Bonnard Canon, cure Dean of Orgon, had built on the site of the old place of worship the present Chapel.

The prosperity of the town of Tarascon led to a number of noble families settling there from the 15th century. Aristocrats, bourgeois, traders and clergymen who wanted to make their mark on the urban landscape built splendid private residences here. Thanks to their wonderful exterior decoration, the façades of these mansions testify to many different individual solutions, replaced by the magnificent expression of Provençal Mannerism in the early 17th century, a low-key period for architecture in Provence.
